Synopsis
Legend says that years ago, nature thrived in harmony around the lake and its islands until evil arrived. Men, blinded by dark desires, brought fear, hate, and death. The fishermen call it 'La Miringua', the one that drags and drowns you in the lake for your sins.

Edgar Nito is a co-founder of Pirotecnia Films and works as a Director, Producer, and Screenwriter. He was awarded Best New Narrative Director at the 2019 TriBeCa Film Festival for his debut film Huachicolero. His work has received accolades at SITGES, North Bend Film Festival, Hola México Film Festival, and Mórbido, with special mentions at the Madrid and Monterrey Film Festivals.
His latest film, A Fishermen’s Tale (Un Cuento de Pescadores), premiered at SITGES 2024 and had its national premiere at the Morelia International Film Festival, where it received a Special Mention for Best Ensemble Performance. Read less
