With The Devil Whispered My Name is a film born from the landscapes, legends, and memories of my childhood. Growing up in Argentina, I was surrounded by stories—whispered folklore from our native tribes, tales that carried both beauty and fear, and an ever-present sense of the unknown. These stories stayed with me, becoming the seeds for a film that explores how the past and present are in constant dialogue. This project is deeply personal. It is about returning home—not just to a place, but to the traumas, myths, and shadows that shape who we are. Working alongside John Mathis, I wanted to craft a story that honors the cultural heritage of my community while building a cinematic experience that is visceral, propulsive, and terrifying. Filming in Córdoba, Argentina, with a local cast and crew was essential. Every frame is infused with the authenticity of the land and the spirit of its people. Our debut as a filmmaking team reflects not only a passion for storytelling but also a commitment to preserving the voices and traditions that inspire us. We cannot wait for audiences to step into this world—one that is haunting, deeply human, and rooted in the whispers of the past.
