Isaac Bell is a New Zealand–based filmmaker whose journey began at fourteen, making scrappy skits with friends at school. Originally drawn to acting, he quickly discovered that his true passion lay behind the camera, shaping stories rather than performing in them. What started as curiosity grew into a career built on experimentation, persistence, and an instinct for storytelling.

For over a decade, Isaac honed his craft through music videos, a playground where he could explore techniques, aesthetics, and tones without boundaries. That restless creativity led him into commercial work, where he directed campaigns for major brands including McDonald’s, Honda, ANZ Bank, AA Insurance, and Southern Cross Insurance—projects that demanded precision while still allowing him to bring a cinematic edge to everyday stories.

In the last five years, Isaac has also directed four short films spanning comedy, family drama, sci-fi, and horror—each one a conscious leap into new creative territory. His work has been recognized internationally, earning him Best Director at Show Me Shorts (2021) and Best Editing at HollyShorts (2022), with screenings at festivals such as ImagineNATIVE and HIFF.

Isaac approaches filmmaking with boldness and a willingness to take risks. For him, every project is a chance to surprise, unsettle, and connect with audiences—no matter the genre.
