Joe has been watching horror since he was slightly too young for it, and making films since he could hold a camera. His first foray into horror 'Spotlight' was nominated for Best Horror Short at the 2017 Nightmares film festival. In 2019, his first feature screenplay 'Zero Hour' was a finalist in the Best Un-Produced Screenplay category at the Crimson Screen Film Festival, and in 2022 Joe picked up his first award for script for this very film, 'Itch', which won Best Short Screenplay at the Lit Scares International Horror Festival and was a semi-finalist in the 2024 Killer Shorts Horror Screenplay Competition. Since then, Itch has been developed since then as a labour of love, with Joe serving as writer, director and co-producer.
