Nathan Hertz studied acting and directing at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London on scholarship from the Sir John Gielgud Trust Award. Nathan debuted his first short, Deformity Prays for Radiation, at age 26, premiering at VIFF and gaining global recognition. Since then, his films have screened at top-tier festivals around the world, and his writing has been recognized by Sundance and the Blacklist. He has directed major commercial campaigns for LEGO, Mattel, HBO Max, and Disney, with his work amassing hundreds of millions of views. Nathan is also the co-owner of Stay Lucky Studios, a full-service production company in East LA. Thinestra is Nathan’s feature film directorial debut.
