PJ Germain is a first-generation Indian-Haitian American filmmaker whose work channels personal and cultural anxieties into bold, genre-driven stories. A graduate of the AFI Directing program, PJ uses horror as a lens to explore identity, guilt, and transformation, grounding spectacle in emotional truth.
His breakout short Ghost Light, supported by the Lucasfilm Foundation and starring Abraham Benrubi, established his voice as a horror storyteller with heart. His work has since screened at top genre festivals across the country and his last drama based film Bend in the Road is now streaming on Alex Proyas’ Vidiverse platform.
In addition to directing, PJ has contributed to major film and TV projects in post-production, including Avatar and the FX series Kindred. He is a two-time Webby Award winner and is currently developing several horror features rooted in his Caribbean and South Asian heritage.
